Our third annual Female Football Festival saw record registrations and player turnout on a
cold Friday night.
With over 100 plus on field it was a mix of mini-tournaments, skills challenges and our junior girls joining our senior women’s teams in mixed, fun (and very competitive!) games.
As always, the highlight was the penalty shootout competition with our keepers Amelia (U13/2) and Anastasia (WILS) showing no mercy in blocking all but the most determined of attempts.
In the end Noreen (shooting for Croydon Public School PSSA seniors) and Tara (shooting for
All Age Women 05) held out to win the best possible prize as winter arrives – hot pizza
delivered to their training for them and their team mates.
Our thanks to Garnish Fine Foods in Haberfield for their support on the night and the
incredible team of volunteers from canteen to set-up, on field and pack down.
